WA Kookaburras Floorball Club

This season was a big transition for the Kookas; there were the losses of experienced players and coaches and the introdution of new players and a new format to our A Division Series.

On the court both our A and B team made the finals, the B's into the grand final but not managing to get across the line against Pirates losing 2-0. Congratulations to FAWA MVP, Kookas own Angelo Tinelli, Club A Div Team Player - Nick Rose, Club B Div Team Player - Sean Parker, A Div Best Player Tim Campbell and B Div Best Player Fabi Thoma.

Off the court the club with massive contributions from our social co-ordinator, Tania Perpoli Kookas enjoyed a Spring Break season opener, a Christmas Party, with our very own Czech Santa and a fantastic Wind Up in Subiaco.

During the season we wished Tim Campbell and Mike Hamer luck as they headed off to Finland to take on the best teams in the world for the World Floorball Championships, Campbell managed to earn a Best On Ground award against Germany. Back in Perth a few of our Kookas were selected in the Australian Women's Team, the Women's Development Team and the U19 Men's Development team. Congratulations to Jill Roberts, Tania Perpoli, Fiona Wainwright, Caitlin Park, Kathryn Slattery, Leith Woods, Teresa Annese and Cameron Creagh respectively.
